A French studies graduate from Harvard and a passionate teacher of Paris history, Arthur has lived in the French capital for over 40 years. He enjoys sharing lively anecdotes with visitors, and guide them off the beaten path to interesting places and monuments. Each of his 16 strolls takes about 2 hours, and their themes range from “Lutetia: Roman Paris” through several Medieval and Grand Century topics, to Art Nouveau and Art deco architecture, and “19-25 August 1944: The Liberation of Paris”.

These are strictly personal tours, each one reserved for a party of family and friends.

The Los Angeles Times called Arthur’s commentary “witty and incisive”, and his tours have been featured on the Discovery Channel and Delta Airlines in-flight entertainment. Arthur was a columnist in Paris Metro, a now-defunct magazine which had a faithful readership in the 70's.
