Which room do you prefer? The tranquility of the black room, the energy of the orange room, the quietness of the green room, the richness of the prune-colored room or the discretion of the beige room? In its determination to create a different world, the Five Hotel has used one of the most noble of Asian arts: lacquer. You will recognize the art of Isabel Emmerique in all the rooms of the Five Hotel. Isabel has been working with Chinese lacquer for 30 years; she is very well known abroad and is the only non-Asian artist to have won the Kanasawa Triennale prize in Japan. Thanks to her ultramodern works you can rediscover the Chinese lacquer approach… elsewhere and differently. All our rooms are equipped with the following facilities : • a 66 cm LCD satellite television set with more than a hundred multilingual channels • Free WIFI broadband Internet access • A combined bathroom (with bath or shower) and toilet • Double-glazed windows • Air conditioning • A private safe • A direct-dial telephone • A glass desk (in most of the rooms) • Individual heating

Five months ago we closed the hotel Bellechasse, turning the page on its past so we could begin the large-scale building work that will transform it into a hotel of luxury and charm, prestigious and intimate at the same time. A custom-made hotel, in surroundings already very "couture", right in the middle of Faubourg St Germain district, whose aristocratic elegance inspired Proust. with a wealth of famous antique dealers and the Orsay Museum, facing the Louvre, with several government Ministries, the Chamber of Deputies, the “Quai d'Orsay” ( French Foreign office) and the embassies. It represents arts – from literature to painting, including design, music, theatre, cinema – with its modern and contemporary art galleries, its exhibition halls, its bookshops, and so many places emblematic of the pleasurable Parisian way of life : cafés, shops, restaurants where tradition meets with the modernist. We are inviting you to share in the carrying out of this project by following each stage as it progresses, the changes that take place and to start with the inspiration we hope you will find below. These various atmospheres are going to become clearer progressively, evolve, take shape and finally welcome you.
