Our second floor corner room with three windows, as shown in the web site, was outstanding. The daytime hotel staff was very helpful. The walking time to the Metro stations: Vavin (closed for repairs during our trip) 1 minute, Raspail 3 minutes and Montparnasse 5 minutes, meant that all the sights in Paris were very easy to reach. The metro is so easy to use and affordable. Just a few blocks from the hotel you will find the neighbourhood restaurants, wine stores and grocery stores. A very safe area. Raspail Montparnasse Hotel : "Pefectly fine" cunninghamstern@mindspring.com, Brooklyn, NY My family of four, (myself, my wife, a 7 year old boy and a 6 year old girl), had a very easy time at the Raspail. The breakfast was small but enough to get you started and the room, although not very big was well located. Nothing in Paris is too far from a subway and the Luxembourg gardens, Cemetery and Catacombs are a pleasant walk from the hotel.
