"We stayed here for 5 nights. The room was lovely with tea making facilities and there was always fresh coffee service; towels and toiletries in it. The bathroom was of a comfortable size and absolutely spotless. Breakfast was also very good in the basement with arched vaulted ceilings, which is so typical of Paris. They offered coffee, juices, cereals, yogurt, cheese, canned fruit salad and delicious bread and croissants. We found the staff to be very pleasant and helpful without being overbearing. The location couldn't have been better! It was a short walk to cafés, to many restaurants as well as Notre Dame, Sainte Chapelle, Musée du Moyen-Age. It was a little further to the Louvre Museum and the Eiffel Tower, but, fortunately, the metro station is nearby. I would really like to come back to this hotel.

Our second floor corner room with three windows, as shown in the web site, was outstanding. The daytime hotel staff was very helpful. The walking time to the Metro stations: Vavin (closed for repairs during our trip) 1 minute, Raspail 3 minutes and Montparnasse 5 minutes, meant that all the sights in Paris were very easy to reach. The metro is so easy to use and affordable. Just a few blocks from the hotel you will find the neighbourhood restaurants, wine stores and grocery stores. A very safe area. Nothing in Paris is too far from a subway and the Luxembourg gardens, Cemetery and Catacombs are a pleasant walk from the hotel. There are many interesting landmarks to visit which are within easy walking distance: the Sorbonne, the Pantheon, the Luxembourg Garden and Palace. The bed clothes were always clean and changed daily. The staff at the reception desk were always helpful with questions and small requests. They helped arrange a shuttle for our departure. Each room had an individually controlled radiator, a TV with 2 English-speaking channels (news), a strongbox and a hairdryer. We were entirely satisfied with Delavigne and our stay, at about €100/room/night, was a fair deal.
